Who gets texts

Only people who ask for them. When you make a plan, or open the invite link a friend sends you, there’s a box you can tick to get texts about your plans. It’s never ticked for you. We never text a number until its owner has ticked the box, even if a friend typed the number in for you.

Next to the box, you’ll see:

Text me plan updates from You Sure About That?: a check-in before each plan, a receipt and the outcome. About 5 msgs per plan. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.

Signing up once covers your future plans too, until you reply STOP.

What you’ll get

About 5 texts per plan:

• a note when the plan is scheduled
• a check-in before the plan, asking whether you’re still in
• a receipt when you answer (it doesn’t say what you answered)
• the outcome: the plan’s on, or it’s off because you both chose to skip
• now and then, a notice: if the other person has to cancel, or, for the person who made the plan, if their friend has stopped texts

You’ll also get one confirmation text when you first sign up. We never send marketing or promotional texts.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any text and we’ll send no more. Reply START to sign back up. Reply HELP for help, or email richtacklist@gmail.com.
